Today I want to talk about my need to eat healthier. I jumped on the scale this morning, and it said in its metallic voice “hey, one person at a time, buddy”.
Thank you for your time and have a great day.

<![CDATA[January 10th, 2017]]>Tue, 10 Jan 2017 13:52:13 GMThttp://brianboatwright.com/phase-one/january-10th-2017Hello World,

Welcome back to another installment of earning a PhD, this week I am working on gathering articles that support my research questions. Basically; when I claim, something is a certain way, I need to support that idea, with work that says what I am saying is an actual fact.

As always thanks for reading.

Thank you for your time and have a great day.

Today, I want to talk to you about the process of creating a key aspect to the Sam Dark story. It sprung from an idea I had about the attack on Pearl Harbor, which then led me to the question, “what would have happened if the Axis powers developed a plan to work together to stop America from entering WW2”.

I am writing here to catalog my educational and writing journey. For those of you that don’t know I am working on my PhD in my spare time, and have entered the dissertation phase. Another thing that I am doing in my spare time is writing my first story, which is fiction.

There are other goals that I am working on such as, making better dietary choices and exercising more that I will discuss as well.

You can follow my activities at brianboatwright.com, Facebook or Twitter. If you are looking to join the Until There is No More Team, to end homelessness and hunger got to Untilthereisnomore.org.

Thank you for your time

<![CDATA[What is emotional intelligence?]]>Sun, 27 Sep 2015 22:05:22 GMThttp://brianboatwright.com/phase-one/what-is-emotional-intelligencePicture
The Swijtink work states that emotional intelligence can be described as the capacity to identify emotions in a way that can help in understanding the knowledge of emotions, armed with this ability an individual can grow both emotional and intellectually. According to Concordia University the term emotional intelligence was first used by a pair of psychologist by the names of John Mayer and Peter Salovey in 1990. Concordia University notes that although these two individuals were instrumental in the genesis of emotional intelligence, it was Daniel Goldman as a journalist and a psychologist who in his seminal work changed the landscape of using strictly intelligence quotient.

<![CDATA[Three ways to know when it’s time for a change ]]>Sat, 22 Aug 2015 21:44:09 GMThttp://brianboatwright.com/phase-one/three-ways-to-know-when-its-time-for-a-change I am no way saying to people, to leave their jobs or family.

 1. You can finish other people’s statements that interact with you, regardless if you know them or not.

 2. You drive toward a place out of habit, and you realize that is not where you wanted to go.

 3. You don’t care what happens next…

<![CDATA[I am always interested in improving my life]]>Wed, 12 Aug 2015 22:19:01 GMThttp://brianboatwright.com/phase-one/i-am-always-interested-in-improving-my-lifeI am always interested in improving my life, with that in mind. I am or have already started a number of small businesses to channel my energy and passion, into an attainable goal.

The first is Until There is No More, which is a nonprofit that is determined to end homelessness and hunger in our lifetime. The second is Selections for You, which is created to provide the best viewing options for those individuals or groups that love movies, and to provide a unique experience for customers to add to creative content as it is being developed. The third is in the early stages of development; and it is also a nonprofit called Blame to No One, which is being developed to identify and house those within our society that need the help of a mental health professional.

Also there are other ventures and creative processes that I am a part of as well.
